The exhibit describes the culture and identities of Sicily and in particular of the historic-archeological-naturalistic district of Marsala, from where the Statue of a Youth (the Mozia Charioteer) currently on view at the Getty Villa, comes from. Born in Ragusa where he lives and works, Giuseppe Leone is a great master of artistic photography and illustrator of books by renowned writers such as Leonardo Sascia, Gesualdo Bufalino and Vincenzo Consolo.
Also on view Salt Corals, handmade jewels by architect and designer Daniela Neri, reproducing the ancient coral jewels realized in Trapani in the 17th century using the salt form Marsala
In conjunction with the exhibition Sicily: Art and Invention between Greece and Rome at the Getty Villa
