Boys' and Girls' Town of Italy's 53rd annual benefit lunch, presented by the San Francisco Women's Committee, celebrated 70 years of service to 30,000 children in Rome, and the launch of Boys' and Girls' Towns of Ethiopia. Boys' and Girls' Towns offer a safe haven and a chance in life for hungry, homeless and orphaned children living on the streets. The event raised funds for unaccompanied minors who have fled war and extreme poverty in their homelands.
The festive lunch at the Olympic Club on December 3, 2015, featured models styled by Centro 39, a local and online retailer of luxury Italian fashions, and songs by Ragazzi Boys Chorus. Barbara Traisman and Elizabeth Birka-White served as co-chairs; special guests included the Honorable Mauro Battocchi, Consul General of Italy, and President of Boys' & Girls' Towns of Italy, Gabriele Delmonaco.
