As we celebrate National Italian American Heritage Month in October, Convivio is privileged to announce the launch of the Convivio Communitas Award for Leadership! The Communitas Award recognizes and honors San Diego's Italian-community leaders who have made an impact through academic, business, and civic endeavors.

Our inaugural recipient, Joseph Panetta, has been selected due to his visionary leadership for San Diego's life science industry. Under Mr. Panetta's leadership, Biocom has served as a catalyst for attracting great companies, great people, and venture-capital funding to San Diego.
