Finally coming to fruition as part of 2013 Year of the Italian Culture in the US, the project's first major initiatives will include two major events in San Francisco: the Meeting Between the Two Mayors and the Gala Dinner in June and the Concert of the Two Bays in October.

The Viva L'Italia Gala Dinner to benefit October's Concert of the Two Bays will be held at San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel on Saturday, June 15, 2013. The guest of honour will be the Honorable Luigi de Magistris, Mayor of the City of Napoli and President of Teatro di San Carlo. The evening will feature the San Carlo Theatre Auction and a special performance by Maestro Nicola Luisotti and Tenor Francesco Demuro. Tickets start at $375.00.
