On Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10-4 in celebration of the Year of Italian Culture in the US, the Museo Italo Americano of San Francisco will have an all day seminar on the impact of Italian culture.
The topics are Modernity, Machines and Motor Oil: Italian Futurist Art and Ideals, by Christopher Atwood, PhD candidate in Italian Studies at UC Berkeley, The Innovations of Italian Cinema, by Steven Kovacs, professor of cinema at SF State, Design as Culture in Postwar Italy, by Professor Massimo Mazzotti, UC Berkeley and Luigi Pirandello and the Making of Modern Italian Literature by Leslie Elwell, PhD candidate in Italian Studies at UC Berkeley. Price: $45 for Museo members; $65 for non-members. Price includes seminar, lunch and reception.
