With the restoration of the exterior set to begin shortly, the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles is on schedule to open in the second half of 2014, and possibly as soon as summer, said executive director Marianna Gatto.
The long-in-the-works museum's permanent exhibition, focusing on the history of Italian Americans in Los Angeles and Southern California, is currently under construction.
