This past weekend, our President Mr. Mario Amalfitano and our Cultural Affairs Ambassador Anna Manunza were honored to meet an Italian Delegation from Emilia-Romagna. The Delegation came to Los Angeles to attend the final phase of celebrations in tribute of the beloved tenor Luciano Pavarotti, who received a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of fame last month.

Mr. Stefano Bonaccini, President of the Emilia Romagna Region, was welcomed by our Italian Consul General Silvia Chiave and Consul Lorenza Errighi , as well as Member of Italian Chamber of Deputies Christian Di Sanzo, Mr. Emanuele Amendola Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, and famed Italian journalists Silvia Bizio and Valentina Martelli.

The visit started in front of the Pavarotti star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where the Delegation was met by the President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Mr David Michael Jerome. After a moving tribute to Luciano Pavarotti, the visit continued on the star of big-band musician Ernani Bernardi, who came from the same region. We felt very fortunate to be part of this tribute honoring two great Italians linked by their common passion for music and whose everlasting memory is forever enshrined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
