The Patrons of Italian Culture announce the establishement of the "Albert J. Casola Prize"
Continuing their long standing commitment of funding for worthy students of Italian descent, the Patrons of Italian Culture are pleased to announce the establishment of the "Albert J. Casola Prize", to be awarded for the first time during the summer of 2013.
This annual scholarship follows a long standing Patrons tradition of student awards and scholarships over the last many decades, reports Paul Romano, Patron President.
The Patrons were selected as 'administrators' for this important task by Anthony Olivero, Sr., Trustee for The Albert J. Casola Trust. Mr. Casola, who was a resident of Bohemia, New York, was interested in education and concerned about the many young Italian children displaced and orphaned by W.W.II.
