On Thursday September 20th at 10am PDT we officially welcome Little Italy's newest public space, Piazza Giannini. The 500-foot public space will be built in Amadeo Giannini's honor, featuring a bust and pedestal, a plaque regaling Giannini’s story, concrete planters and barriers, and tables and chairs with umbrellas on the soon to be redeveloped corner of India and W. Cedar streets.
Join us then on September 20th at 6:30pm for the 18th annual State of the Neighborhood celebration, being held at the Piazza della Famiglia. Attendees to this formerly-ticketed event are welcome to sit alongside other members of the community, both new and longtime, for a free presentation on the past, present, and future of the district, with a special emphasis on public space development and community revitalization. We encourage you to arrive at 6:30pm, grab a bite to eat somewhere in the neighborhood, secure a prime-viewing seat, and enjoy yet another beautiful evening in our neighborhood.
