Carissimi amici, the Italian program at the University of Pittsburgh has invited one of Italy's finest playwrights (from Sicily) to Pittsburgh, Lina Prosa to conclude their Mediterrenean "Meta"geographies Series.
One of the most acclaimed production by Lina Prosa, Trilogy of the Shipwrecked (Trilogia del nuafragio) depicts the journey, the challenges and the pain of a young migrant Shauba to the island of Lampedusa. Shauba's compelling story will become yours through a dramatic reading on MONDAY March 14th at 7pm (in Italian) and TUESDAY March 15th at 7pm (in English) right here in our backyard, at the Henry Heymann Theater (located in the lower floor of the Stephen Foster Memorial/by the Cathedral of Learning).
