We celebrated our ties of service and friendship today with a visit to the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C. where we met with First Counselor Michela Carboniero and Education Office Director Maria Fusco to discuss the valuable contributions of Italians in the American Revolution and DAR’s official tour to Italy in November 2023.
I am proud of my personal ancestral connection to Italy, my Italian great grandfather Carlo Bucci, who immigrated from Italy in the late 1800s. Today’s visit to the Italian Embassy serves as a wonderful reminder to continue our genealogical research and identify more Revolutionary War Patriots from diverse backgrounds and countries of origin.
Thank you to First Counselor Michela Carboniero, Director Maria Fusco and everyone at the Italian Embassy the opportunity to visit today.
