The Festa Italiana Committee is searching for little ones to participate in it's new Little Miss and Mr. Contest. Parents of girls and boys ages 2 to 6, who have a blood relative of Italian descent, are invited to register their child for the contest, which will take place throughout the Italian Festival Aug. 6 to 8.
All the money raised by penny votes will be donated to the local charity of the winning family's choice. Mary Ann Colestro, Festa Italiana organizer, told The Era that parents can register their child at the Italian American Progressive Club by 5 p.m. Friday.
