
The National Gallery of Art celebrates the 500th Anniversary of Venetian Master Artist Jacobo Tintoretto (c.1518/19-1594) in a stunning exhibition on display now through July 7, 2019 with it's only preview in America. Tintoretto is revered as one of the most distinctive artist of the Italian Renaissance.

The majority of the paintings are immense, stretching nine, ten, or even 16 feet. Other highlights of the exhibition are a gallery devoted to portraits; a substantial group of works on loan from the Gallerie dell'Accademia and Palazzo Ducale; and a film with breathtaking views of the artist's paintings in the Venetian settings.
