Stratford University in Little Italy between Central Avenue and Lloyd Street continues its growth and strengthening of its relationship with Little Italy. Through a lease arrangement, the college has renovated the main floor of Saint Leo's School on Stiles Street.
The entire floor has been painted and the classrooms have been upgraded with WiFi, computers, projectors, screens, white boards and new furniture. Stratford is currently using two rooms for lecture classes and one room as a tutoring center. Use of the fourth classroom will occur within the next six months. Additionally, several members of the school's accounting department have moved into a room on the third floor. These renovated rooms will also continue to house Pandola Learning Center, an arm of Saint Leo's.
The university parking lot usage by the restaurant valets and Saint Leo's Church will continue, and Pandola Learning Center has begun utilizing the Stratford University computer lab for its Thursday evening computer classes.
In addition, Stratford is completing its purchase of their current space - the renovated "No. 2" elementary school building on Central Avenue, the 1910 brick school building, and the parking lot - from the former Baltimore International College.
