The Italian Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese visited the United States of America on June 16, 2022. In the early afternoon, the Minister held meetings with U.S. Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, as well as U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.

Topics of discussion included combating organized crime and terrorism, countering cybercrime and international drug trafficking, and managing migration flows, also in light of the changed international geopolitical scenario following Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
