A Cincinnati culinary tradition celebrated more than a century of food and fellowship. For 105 years, the Sons of Italy have hosted the Sacred Heart Church Italian Dinner. That tradition, which started in 1911, continued Saturday.
Jerry Vianello, a retired Marine colonel, has helped cook and host the dinner for almost a quarter of a century. "We've enjoyed each other," Vianello said. "We've enjoyed business and shared those things together along with our family heritage, where our parents came from, all of that stuff is very important to us. It's a bond that holds us together."
