Holy Week is central to the spiritual lives of Italians on both sides of the Atlantic. The Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii will play their parts from Palm Sunday (April 10) to Easter Sunday (April 17).
THE PARISH OF OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL (Melrose Park) will celebrate Mass with the distribution of palms at 7:45 a.m. and noon in English and at 10:30 a.m. in Italian on Palm Sunday; Mass of the Last Supper at 6 p.m. on Holy Thursday followed by a Pilgrimage to Seven Churches at 7:15 p.m. (reservations required/$20 for the bus); Rosary at 6 p.m. and Liturgy at 7 p.m. on Good Friday; an Easter Vigil at 8 p.m. on Holy Saturday; and Mass at 7:45 a.m. and noon in English and at 10:30 a.m. in Italian on Easter Sunday.
