A former Kenoshan who found success as the owner of McDonald's franchises in Ohio and later helped a local struggling community bank was honored Sunday night. Gaetano "Guy" Mattioli Cecchini was feted at the annual Columbus Day banquet of the Italian American Society for his many contributions to the community that helped launch his American Dream.

Cecchini, 79, of Canton, Ohio, was born in Italy but came to the United States in his 20s, working at his father's fuel and oil company in Kenosha. By 1958, he took over the family business while founding Little Wheels, a motor scooter and motorcycle company.
