It's become a longstanding tradition for many families and a new destination spot for others during the holiday season. The Feast of the Seven Fishes Festivals is in its 11th year and is attracting people from as far as Chicago for its annual event on Dec. 9-10.
Named a top 20 event for December by the Southeast Tourism Society, the feast was inspired by a graphic novel published by Robert Tinnell. Along with his wife, Shannon Colaianni Tinnell, the Fairmont residents founded the festival by working closely with the community and Main Street Fairmont.
