The 30th annual Cleveland Challenge Cup of Bocce Tournament hosted by the Wickliffe Italian-American Club was held Aug. 23-25 as 96 men's and 14 women's teams competed.
The event, which attracts world-class players from around the region and internationally, saw the Palazzo 777 team (featuring players from Canada, U.S., and Argentina, and includes North America's No. 1 player, Jose Botto) defeat last year's champion, Vandra Brothers #1. Vandra players are from Highland Heights, Mayfield Heights and Montreal.
