The Italian ambassador to the United States visited North Dakota for the first time Wednesday, stopping at the University of Mary to share his vision for trade potential between the two nations and highlight cultural exchanges.
Claudio Bisogniero told dozens gathered in the U-Mary business school auditorium that Italy needs economic growth and job creation in the wake of the financial crisis that has plagued Europe since 2009. While the new prime minister wants to cut down on bureaucracy and implement labor reforms, the nation also is aiming for a new trade agreement between Europe and the United States.
