Carmine M. LoConte, 83, of Haverhill, passed away, surrounded by his family, Monday night, Sept. 10, at Lawrence General Hospital. LoConte was born in Haverhill on Jackson Street and was the son of the late Pasquale and Olympia (Marchiano) LoConte. He was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 35 years as a pipefitter, planner and estimator.
His surviving family members include his loving wife of 61 years Mary (Janowski) LoConte; sons and their wives, Patrick and wife Denise (DiStefano) LoConte of Sandown, N.H., John and Robin (Cox) LoConte of Methuen, Carmine R. and Diana (Mancuso) LoConte of Salem, N.H.; a daughter Mary and her husband Tim Hayworth of Spring Hill Florida; 18 grandchildren including Joseph, Kathleen, Anthony, Dominic, Joanna, Amanda, Shannon and David LoConte, Daniel, Rachel, Sarah, John, Andrew, Jacob, Ruthie, Jason Lynch, Savannah and Joseph Cox; 1 great-grandchild Gianna Carmen Diaz; several nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt Gracie Marciano.
