The Monroe Chamber of Commerce awarded Roberto's Restaurant, Monroe, Business of The Year for 2016, during the Chamber's recent Annual Meeting. The award is given every year to the business that not only supports the community but other businesses in town as well. It is a true example of a successful and responsible business.

In 1982, Luigi and Stella Giansanti arrived from the Italian Province of Frosinone and opened Roberto's Restaurant. They named the restaurant after their son Roberto who was then three years old. After fifteen years, Luigi and Stella sold the restaurant. Meanwhile, Roberto grew up and earned a business degree, worked for a marketing firm and several restaurants.
