The Italian American Celebration Honoring Christopher Columbus Committee (I.A.C.) will award scholarships to 14 area students this month. The recipients were selected by a Scholarship Committee, which was headed by Professor Dario Del Puppo of Trinity College, Hartford.

Eight $1,000 scholarships and six $500 scholarships will be presented June 22 at the I.A.C.'s annual fundraiser. The scholarship winners are Madison Papallo, Michelino Gali, Julia Liseo, Lucia Palladino, Christina LoGiudice, Kayla Stalph, Jessica Ciavarella, Kira Bradley, Erin Kelly, Madison Bradley, Anna Cannata, Veronica Espinosa, Nora Serao and Paul Ciarcia.
