The National Italian American Foundation promotes and preserves Italian culture in the United States, and the head of the organization happens to be a Connecticut native, Anita Bevacque McBride. News 8 spoke with McBride via satellite about her the organization, its mission and her connecticut roots.
"I was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and my family immigrated in the early 1900s," McBride said. "[My] grandparents, aunts, uncles from Calabria."
