To begin to appreciate The Last Supper, consider the following: Who commissioned the fresco? Why in the Refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie? What about the body language and expressions of the figures depicted? Why the use of certain colors in the vestments? Answering these basic questions allows us to truly "see" and interpret this work. Dr. Irene Roman will answer these questions and bring us to a greater understanding of this masterpiece.
