Laura Gentile, Hampden County clerk of courts, was honored recently by Springfield UNICO as its 2013 Person of the Year.
It is the first time in the 44-year history of the Springfield chapter of the Italian-American organization that it has selected a woman as its Person of the Year. The event was held at the Storrowton Carriage House.
