A local chapter of a national Italian-American service organization will hold its annual food and wine tasting this month in Springfield. Longmeadow's chapter of UNICO — the nation's largest Italian-American organization — will host its 16th annual Food and Wine Tasting event on Center Court at the Basketball Hall of Fame on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.

Western Massachusetts micro beer breweries Berkshire Brewing Company, Iron Duke Brewing, Vanished Valley Brewing Co. and White Lion Brewing Company will offer samples of their favorites as well as new brews. Hadley-based V-One Vodka will have samples of its Polish-distilled spirits, and MS Walker distributors will bring more than three dozen wine varieties to taste.
