Sunday morning was all things Italian as Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church celebrated Feast Day with a procession through the streets featuring a statue of church patron Blessed Mary. Following a mid-morning mass, parishioners descended the church steps as steeple bells clanged and a hot summer sun glistened off its golden dome.
About 200 people stepped in behind retired Bishop Peter Rosazza, Rev. David Carey, the statue bearers, a Knights of Columbus color guard and the Vinci marching band.
