The white sidewalk on Shrewsbury Street has been given a touch of green and red paint, a sign of things to come. The annual Shrewsbury Street Italian Heritage Parade will be held Sunday, with the first marchers stepping off at noon. The westbound route covers the length of Shrewsbury Street, starting near the intersection of Belmont Street and ending at Washington Square.
This year's parade will be accompanied by a festival in the parking lot of Pepe's Italian Restaurant (11 a..m. to 6 p.m.) and a soccer tournament and children's activities at Cristoforo Colombo Park (East Park) following the parade.
