The Madonna del Soccorso Society of Boston recognized Patricia “Patte” Papa with their annual “Italian American of the Year” award during the Opening Night of the 107th Fisherman’s Feast in Boston’s North End on August 17, 2017. North Ender Patte Papa has been a key partner at Boston City Hall helping keep alive Italian American traditions such as the Fisherman’s Feast.
Accepting the award on Patte’s behalf was Jordyn Taylor who was presented with the plaque by Fisherman’s Club members, Kenny Palazzolo, Domenic Strazzullo, Louis Strazzullo and Justin Amoroso. Also taking part in the ceremony were Boston City Councilor Sal LaMattina and State Representative Aaron Michlewitz.
