The North End-based Saint Joseph Society recently announced a $10,000 pledge to support the ongoing restoration of Saint Leonard Church on Hanover Street, in Boston's North End.
"We thank the whole society and in a special way the donation committee for being so considerate toward our Parish," wrote Father Antonio Nardoianni in the parish bulletin. "Besides the large amount they are donating, we are encouraged by their appreciation for what is being done to prevent our church building from falling apart and to restore it to its original beauty."
