With almost four decades of service as a town councilor, Robert F. Parisi is a well-known and respected person in town — a stark contrast to how he was treated when he was first elected to the Town Council in the '70s. "I had a miserable beginning in the Republican party. They didn't like me," Parisi said, grinning.
"I had to work through so much, but I never backed down. They knew I wasn't going away and it's good now. It's beautiful." The 80-year-old town native was born in 1935 and went through the local school system, graduating from Lyman Hall High School in 1953.
