If you went down to Kingston’s Rondout waterfront Sunday for lunch, you likely realized you had too many choices. The Ulster County Italian Festival closed down the waterfront with music, food and entertainment, and Rondout restaurants were open along with many, many food vendors like Jo Burruby.
Burruby owns the Frozen Caboose Ice Cream Shop, in Highland and a food truck for festivals and other events, known as the Caboose on the Loose. “This place will be packed,” she said, of the upcoming dinner hour later in the day. “This is nothing.” This is Burruby’s third Italian fest on the Rondout with her ice cream truck and all have been well attended.
