After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canastota Italian Heritage Committee will be hosting an Italian-American Festival on North Canal Street in the Village of Canastota on Saturday, Aug. 13. The festival will kick off next to the historic Erie Canal at 11 a.m. and will run until 7 p.m.

The celebration of Italian American culture will feature live local entertainment, Italian and American cuisine, historical displays and demonstrations, produce sales, and local artisan booths offering custom merchandise. This one-day event features three local bands: MillerTime Entertainment will take the stage at 11 a.m. followed by ZZ & Dan Pugh at 2 p.m. and Rewind at 4 p.m.
