The 115th annual Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel runs Friday, July 20, through Sunday, July 22, in Rosebank -- where a host of Italian immigrants settled during the early part of the 1900s. The time-honored tradition is a throw back to simpler times. Coordinators continue to preserve the cherished custom that hopefully will be handed down from generation to generation and be preserved for many years to come.
The Italian feast -- or festa Italiana -- opened to the public on Thursday, July 12, and will resume on Friday, July 20, with entertainment by Rag Doll, a tribute act channeling Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. On Saturday, July 21, Rick Alviti presents his "Tribute to Elvis," and Sunday, July 22, wraps up with Nostalgia, featuring Lillian Reyes and a '60s- '70s Dance Party.
