The borough’s biggest Columbus Day celebration is back: Catholic Charities of Staten Island’s annual “Festa Italiana at The Mount” returns Friday through Sunday, Oct. 5-7, at Mount Loretto, 6581 Hylan Blvd. in Pleasant Plains. “We’re looking forward to bringing the community together once again to celebrate on Columbus Day Weekend,” says Vincent Ignizio, CEO of CCSI. “Come hungry and bring the family for a great weekend with us.”
Presented by Borough President James Oddo, The Nicotra Group and ShopRite, this year’s installment will feature fun for all ages. The site will have a variety of food, rides, live music, and a cultural center for all to enjoy. There will also be a cannoli-eating contest as well as a beer and sangria garden.
