What does an abundance of Italian food, a cannoli eating contest, and a performance by Louis Prima Jr. all have in common? They will all be part of this year’s annual Italian Festival at the Mount presented by ShopRite and The Nicotra Group on Columbus Day Weekend from Oct. 11 to 13.

Hosted by Catholic Charities of Staten Island and Borough President James Oddo, the event will feature food, vendors, rides and games, live musical performances, and, of course, a cannoli eating contest sponsored by Mark’s Bake Shoppe. The event will run Friday from 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
