La FondazioneNY, will organize its second gala benefit on November 4, 2013. Proceeds of the evening will fund grants and awards to give young Italian artists the opportunity to work in New York, and promote cultural initiatives for 2014. This year, La FondazioneNY 2013 Gala will be hosted at The Morgan Library & Museum on the occasion of the exhibition of "Leonardo da Vinci: Treasures from the Biblioteca Reale, Turin". The exhibition, on view at The Morgan through February 2014, has been organized in collaboration with La FondazioneNY.
The event will start with a special performance by the world renowned violinist Robert McDuffie in the Morgan's Auditorium, followed by a Gala dinner hosted in The Gilbert Court, the museum's wing recently designed by Architect Renzo Piano. Leonardo da Vinci's Drawings Exhibition This exhibition will display a selection of drawings by the collection of Biblioteca Reale of Turin, whose centerpiece is the Codice sul Volo, a supreme exemplar of Leonardo's prodigious scientific and creative imagination.
