"Let Me Try" a peculiar Italian theatre show including ballets made his grand entrance in New York on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th September at the Gelsey Kirkland Center of the Arts of Brooklyn. The multimedia pièce, mainly in Italian language was produced by a Sardinian company "Effimero Meraviglioso" lead by Maria Assunta Calvisi with coreography by New York based Alessandra Corona Performing Arts.
It involved 13 young artists from Sardinia, Rome and the United States. The performance was also a way to bring to NY the peculiar style, culture and tradition of Sardinia, a very unique Italian Island. "The show - explains Mrs Calvisi - is produced in collaboration with Kataklisma Teatro of Rome and Alessandra Corona Performing Works from NY. The 13 young artists - actors and dancers - from Sardinia, Rome and the United States have been living and training in Sinnai Sardinia for a month before the first performance of the tour in order to complete the requirements supported by Sardinia government through EU funds."
