The National Organization of Italian American Women (NOIAW), announced today that the organization’s annual Epiphany reception honoring Three Wise Women will be held on January 23, 2025 from 6 to 9 PM, at Columbus Citizens Foundation in New York City, according to a statement released by NOIAW’s National President, Pat Tinto.
Each year, NOIAW, the only national organization dedicated to empowering, connecting and inspiring women of Italian American descent, celebrates the Feast of the Epiphany by recognizing the achievements of “Three Wise Women,” and the role their heritage has played in their achievements.
This year’s recipients of the award in the Greater New York Region are: Gabrielle Ferrara, COO at Ferrara Manufacturing; Gina Piazza, Esq., Partner at Tarter, Krinsky & Drogin LLP; Carolina Spera, CPA, Principal and Italian Practice Leader at Grassi Advisors.
“The Greater New York Region of the National Organization of Italian American Women is proud to honor these Three Wise Women of distinction and prominence in their respective fields. Gabrielle Ferrara, COO at Ferrara Manufacturing
Gabrielle Ferrara is the Chief Operating Officer of Ferrara Manufacturing, a family-owned garment manufacturer based in New York City. Since its founding in 1987, Ferrara Manufacturing has been at the forefront of high-quality American apparel production, crafting pieces for iconic clients like Ralph Lauren Collection, the U.S. Olympic Team, and the U.S. military. Under Gabrielle’s leadership, the company has expanded its commitment to domestic manufacturing, opening a state-of-the-art 50,000-square-foot facility in Long Island City. Carolina Spera, CPA, Principal
And Italian Practice Leader at Grassi Advisors Carolina is a Principal and the Italian Practice Leader at Grassi and brings almost ten years of international tax and accounting experience to the firm. Carolina primarily works with clients within architecture, fashion, technology, manufacturing & distribution industries, and utilizes her expertise both in general accounting matters in the United States and tax law in Italy. Carolina most recently wrote an article titled “A New Ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union on the use of Cross-Border Corporate Losses” which was published in the Italian Tax Journal called “Diritto e Pratica Tributaria Internazionale”. Carolina actively participates in conferences and webinars on accounting and taxation and has been a panelist at various seminars in Italy. Prior to joining Grassi, Carolina worked in New York at a local US/Italian CPA firm, where she was responsible for servicing many of the firm’s Italian clients.
