Festivals are ramping up for the fall season and two Italian festivals are coming up on the same day in NY State. The Little Italy StreetFest in Schenectady and Amsterdam’s ItaliaFest are set for Saturday, September 7. The 19th annual Little Italy StreetFest takes place along North Jay Street at Union Street from noon to 9 p.m.
The festival features live music, food from the nearby Italian restaurants, vendors, and a new kids activity space called Bambini Boulevard. This year’s king and queen of the Little Italy StreetFest are Neil and Mona Golub. Festival organizers choose a king and queen each year based on their involvement and impact in the local community.
