In addition to approving the appointment of 70 election workers for the upcoming town election, the board granted three hawker and peddlers licenses. Wilmington Taxi received a Taxi Cab license and Timothy Flynn a Taxi Operator's license.
The board also approved the Police Department's request to hold their fourth National Night Out Aug. 1. The event designed to promote crime prevention will include a variety of activities for kids of all ages including Touch-A-Truck, a Dunk Tank and raffle.
