Michele Mistò is the new Consul General of Italy in Miami. This is his message to all Italians in the area of the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in Miami: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Marteen, St. Eustatius, Saba, British and US Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos. 

I have recently assumed the role of Consul General. For me, it is sincerely an honor and a great responsibility, of which I will try to be worthy at all times. First and foremost in your eyes. The story of our community in Florida, and that of the many Italians residing in the other states and territories of this large consular district, is one of great successes. It is a story of individual and family affirmation, of courage, of spirit of initiative and ability to get involved.
