The Sayre chapter of UNICO held their 49th annual dinner dance on Saturday at Tomasso's Restaurant in Waverly. Those who donated the $100 ticket cost for the formal event were treated to dinner, live music by local band Splash, an open bar and dancing all night long.
The group has been active in the Valley area since 1967 when a group of Italian men in the Valley formed the Sayre chapter of UNICO. When they set up their organization, the men decided to use their expertise and skills to raise money for the underserved special needs community.
