Dear compatriots and friends of the Italian community in North Carolina, I am honored to assume the role of Honorary Consul of Italy in our state of North Carolina. I look forward to serving you and continuing the impressive work of my colleague Dr. Claudio Carpano, former HC, in supporting a thriving and dynamic Italian community in our state.
For those of you who I have not had the pleasure to meet, here is a bit about me: I was born and raised in Rome, then attended university in Philadelphia, PA and received a doctoral degree in electrical engineering. I am currently an Associate Professor and the Graduate Program Director in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UNC Charlotte, and the Director of the Power Delivery Innovation group.
I have been living in Charlotte since 2010, with my husband Daniel Andrepont and our three children. I dedicate myself to our community through the initiatives of Casa della Cultura Italiana - NC, highlighting Italian innovation and technology with our Round Tables on Italian Technology and Foreign Direct Investment, and keeping our traditions alive with our Percorso di Lingua e Cultura Italiana per Bambini.
I encourage you all to support our community here in our state so that it continues to prosper.
Kind regards and see you soon!
