Opera Birmingham is gearing up for an ambitious season, staging two productions, three operas, two concerts and a vocal competition that continues to gain national stature.
And if you have a liking for Italian opera (and what true opera fan doesn't?), you're in luck. Three out of three operas will be sung in that most musical language, with projected English translations.
