Italian ambassador to the Americas Claudio Bisogniero became the first Italian ambassador to visit Oklahoma. Along side Consul General Elena Sgarbi, Bisogniero spoke Wednesday afternoon at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art on the strong diplomatic ties between the U.S. and Italy and a future that he hopes will include a transatlantic free trade treaty.
"Europe and the U.S. are the world's largest trading blocks. The trade between Europe and the U.S. represents more than one third of world trade and the same applies to investment," Bisogniero said.
