Thanks to the Mind the Bridge Foundation more than 250 high-tech professionals from Silicon Valley learnt something that hardly ever pierces through the media walls - facts about Italy's innovation capabilities that are generally confined to a smaller circle of hands-on experts. Such is Italy's success in culture, food, fashion and design that it overshadows the country's achievements in high-tech and software. As Fernando Napolitano points out, the absence of an Italian international news media in English does not help either.
