Massimo Maresca joins Consulate bringing Italy and California’s Science and Technology Closer

I'm delighted to announce that prof. Massimo Maresca has just joined us at the Consulate as the head of the Science and Technology Office. He is now the liaison officer between the Consulate and the world of research, not only here in the Bay Area, but in the whole the West of the US.

Dr. Maresca took a leave from the University of Genoa to join us and we sincerely look forward to his work here. Dr. Maresca has studied and taught computer science for nearly 30 years at premier academic institutions in both the United States and Italy, as well as authored around a hundred of advanced computer science topics. He also founded three startup companies, in the areas of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSW), which are now autonomous and employ about thirty people.
